Don't forget the "R" in the diagram includes any load connected to the filter. Suppose you're connecting a 32 ohm headphone to it, then you must factor 32 ohms into the actual R value. Similarly, if this filter feeds the input of an amplifier whose input impedance is 10K ohms, then that must be taken into account.
