It's not quite as bad as 1/1. XE.com says the exchange rate is 1.4UKP / dollar. That means if you buy on eBay for about $100 US, it's within your budget not factoring in postage. You have to be careful of counterfeit merchandise on eBay and find a seller willing to ship where you are.
