Hello, I heard somewhere that in order for the Etymotic phones to sound their best they have to be custom fitted. I.e. you have to go to an ear specialist to get imprint of your ear canal using silicon, then send to Etymotic.

Without custom fitting there would be sound leakage.

If this is the case it would mean I cannot take advantage of special offers for ER-40 & 4S at $200.
