I got a spark (over my DDM probes) when measuring the DC voltage from the output pads on one of my σ22’s. I must have brushed the two probes of my DDM together somehow. The .5A fuse did not blow, and the σ22 still measures fine, luckily. Is there anything else I should check before connecting a load to ensure it’s ok now.

If everything still measures fine then it's most likely ok. Be careful with the DMM probes... probe errors cause more grief than you could imagine. Once you connect a load, observe the temperatures of the σ22 heatsinks, they should all be fairly similar.

So i'm thinking building an σ11 at 30v for my m3. I'm currently having problems finding a suitable, insulated dc power jack and connector.

1. The recommended dc connector/jack for the m3 is rated at 24volts (9163-4303), can that really be used if i'm setting the σ11 at 30v?

2. can you guys recommend a different one if that one does not work? with my limited knowledge on this field, i couldn't find a suitable alterantive on mouser.

While the default barrel jack/plugs should be fine at 30V, I do recommend a locking style connector to minimize the chance of disconnection/reconnection while the power is on. That would subject the σ11 to risk of damage.

Depending on how much you want to spend, I am now using the Amphenol Eco|Mate C-16M series connectors almost exclusively for these purposes these days.

Lots of σ22s going together for some amp builds...
