I am about to get a lod for my ipod but am connecting it to my ipod from the minijack output for now. The music coming out sounds normal and good, but I have to raise the volume on my IPOD to get a reasonable output level from the amp. What could be the reason for this low output? It passed all initial checks with flying colors by the way. |

Any amp expects a certain input voltage level. As AMB said it is best to use the iPod LOD to get the best sound possible out of the iPod. However if you are using the headphone out, I found the best sound came from the iPod when the Volume was set just below MAX. |
