this is yaha amps

You can See 1000uF/50v Blue Fake Rubycon from chinese (it's only 850uF test with digital capacitance meter)
Yellow is Mex-X2 MKP Caps From chinese

Now All fake Rubycon has been replaced with Marcon / Fake Nichicon but it's good
- Marcon 1000uF Test At ~930uF
- Fake Nichicon 1000uF test At ~980uF is only $1.5

it's very difficult too hear differences with
- 1uF/250v MKP Audiophile Caps From chinese is only $0.3
- 1uF/250v WIMA MKP4 $4
with WIMA MKP4 trebel is very detail and clear, with audiophile caps treble is not very detail.
But it's not very big differences <big grin>

It might also be of use to note that the revised Millett Hybrid PCBs are no longer available (individually) but Pete's original boards can still be bought from DIYCable.com. The construction cost should still be approximately what is listed in the table.

Also, for anyone who wishes to get the revised PCBs made Pete hosts the required files on his site and folks are free to use them for non-commercial purposes. His site is down now but I'd expect it to be up again soon.

Thanks JCD, really useful list--I saw the one on head-fi a long time ago, but it was too outdated to be useful. I was going to paste it into notepad and print it out, but the formatting was kinda messed up =( I've revised the formatting a bit with html, though, and this should look a lot nicer. If you like it, just click the edit thingy above my post, and copy/paste the html and such below into the first post. it's easy to edit, too, just add extra lines and use the appropriate number of spaces (or tabs, if you know how to get them into text boxes) to space the cost and description

Amp Cost General Comments
M3 $200 Solid state amp
Millet Hybrid $150 Tube hybrid. PCB's no longer available. Original PCB's available here.
Morgan Jones $200
Dynalo $400
Dynahi $600
SOHA $50 Tube hybrid, supposed to be better than a MJ/CJ, better than YAHA
YAHA $30
Cavalli Jones $180
CL MkII $280 Supposed to be better than a SOHA
BCJ MkI $400 Supposed to be better than a CL MKII
BCJ MKII
Futternman $280 Supposed to be better than a BCJ MKI
LISA-III
Szekeres Amps $15-30 No PCB board available. Low price uses very inexpensive parts

Cmoy "Classic" ~$35? Very small portable amp. Beginners should start here
PPA $150 Solid state amp -- can be portable.
Pimeta $75-$100 Slightly bigger than the CMOY portable amp.
A47 ~$35
ATAT's PPA
inside a tin $50-$150 Group Buy going on right now

Mini3 development stalled
Pint pulled
Mint discontinued
Cetoole's SMD MINT no boards manufactured
Cetoole's MINT
with Diamond
Buffers ready for prototype and probably production.

Dynalo $400 ??? I'd rather say less than $200, including enclosure.

I assume the stated build costs do not include balanced versions and the PSUs (except Dynahi), right ?

I pulled the price off of the "other" list.

I was trying to put in a price of a completed amp with "normal" parts, and a range where I could get one.

Now, the PSU is something that I hadn't considered. I hadn't thought about that to be honest. I guess I'll take them off and put the PSU's on a separate line.

I modified the list and reduced the Dynalo to $200 and the Dynahi to $450 to reduce the overall cost without the PSUs.

Thanks for the information.

Is that this thread forgot MHHA(Multi-Hybrid Headphone Amp) from sijosae? <sticking tongue out>
I had build one (version 1.0, perfboard), and total cost is USD$45 including enclosure & PSU.

I think there could also be a list of DIY DACs on this list. To start it off, you could add the Alien DAC: http://www.myexp...c/overview.html
gb just started: http://www6.head...ad.php?t=183911
